I'm not going to agree entirely with the other reviews but also not going to disagree.
Yes the helmet is heavy, too heavy, the plastic is thick which is makes it heavy. The voice changer does work but you need to press the buttons and then it starts working. Assembly is not easy, but not impossible.

i have wasted nearly £100 on 3 of these for my 3 young sons. the helmets are heavy, uncomfortable and impossible to work. we have yet to get the voice changer working, the reason i bought them!!! also pieces straight away fell off, these were then binned as we couldnt figure out how to get them back on.The children played with them for 5 mins on christmas day and not since.I have kept them in case 1 day they "come into their own"!!!!not likely though.

This was a most disappointing present for a 6 year old. It is heavy, uncomfortable and six highly intelligent people couldn't work out how to achieve the voice mixer effects. It sat, throughout Christmas, the only toy not played with by any of the children who visited. They all tried it on and then discarded it within a minute.

BOUGHT THIS FOR OUR GRANDSON FOR CHRISTMAS, AND NEITHER HE OR ANYONE ELSE, COULD FIGURE HOW TO WORK IT,ALL IT SEEMS TO DO IS PLAY THE AWFUL MUSIC. WASTE OF MONEY.

My 5 year old,Blair,is helping with this review...He says he loves his new toy. He has great fun wearing it inside and outside. It is very authentic looking and durable, my words not his, and he particularily loves the Voice Mixer effects which are very simple to use/change. He is the envy of all his friends and he thinks his new Bumblebee Helmet is 'very cool'.
